What Volunteers May Do

Volunteer activities may include:

• Packing backpacks and school supplies

• Sorting food, clothing, hygiene products, and household donations

• Setting up and cleaning up outreach events

• Greeting families and assisting with registration

• Distributing supplies and informational materials

• Preparing food and serving meals

• Organizing donation drives

• Making telephone calls or sending outreach emails

• Helping locate and organize community resources

• Taking approved event photographs

• Assisting with fundraising and community-awareness activities

Available duties depend on the event, volunteer needs, and the volunteer’s age and abilities.

Houston Service Area

Vessels of Our Purpose primarily serves Houston and surrounding Texas communities.

Most in-person volunteer opportunities take place in the Greater Houston area. The specific address, arrival time, parking instructions, and event details will be provided to approved volunteers before each activity.

Who May Volunteer?
